Hong Kong is pushing through several pieces of legislation to support Crypto Assets via its Legislative Council. Even before the United States passed the GENIUS Act, Hong Kong had already launched local stablecoin legislation. Earlier this year, when Eric Trump spoke at the Consensus conference in Toronto, he praised the liquidity of Bitcoin, claiming it is superior to real estate and referred to it as "digital gold." He also expressed support for the crypto community, stating that the same group of people who suppressed the crypto industry during the Biden administration had also attacked his father, Trump.
