Governance dilemmas of encryption project foundations: the industry may shift towards a corporate model
Recently, the cryptocurrency industry's doubts about the foundation's governance model have continued to heat up. An article sparked heated discussions, pointing out that a number of well-known project foundations exposed governance problems: a trading platform foundation misappropriated tokens without DAO approval, Kujira Foundation's leveraged operation led to liquidation, and the Ethereum Foundation was criticized for selling ETH at a high level. At the same time, early projects such as Tezos and Cardano were affected by power struggles within the Foundation. The data shows that the tokens of most foundation-led projects have been weak in the past three months and a year. According to industry insiders, some projects are considering abolishing the foundation structure and shifting to a corporate governance model. With the changing regulatory environment and the rapid development of the industry, the traditional foundation model is facing severe challenges.
