Criminals impersonate official accounts on the X platform, claiming to give away Ledger and other Cold Wallets for free, and actually send out brand new sealed genuine devices, luring users to let down their guard. The real trap often lies within the devices themselves or the accompanying initialization instructions, which may involve tampering with the device or inducing users to disclose their mnemonic phrase through social engineering.
