Robinhood launches tokenized stocks and expands its crypto business in Europe and the U.S. through perpetual futures and staking.

Robinhood recently launched a series of new products at the "Robinhood Presents: To Catch a Token" event in Cannes, France, marking a significant leap in the Crypto Assets field.

The official statement said that we are committed to building a simpler, smarter, and more globally accessible investment future, from expanding Robinhood services to cover 30 EU and European Economic Area countries with a population of over 400 million, to launching stock and ETF tokens.

Robinhood Chairman and CEO Vlad Tenev stated: "Our latest product lays the foundation for Crypto Assets to become a pillar of the global financial system."

Tokenization and Layer 2 Blockchain

• We have launched US stock and ETF tokens in the EU, allowing eligible clients to gain exposure to US stocks through Robinhood stock tokens—Robinhood’s zero commissions, no additional spreads (other fees may apply), supports dividend distribution, and provides 24/7 trading 5 days a week.
• Through tokenized stocks, our European application has transformed from a pure Crypto Assets application to an integrated investment platform powered by encryption technology.
• European customers will have access to over 200 US stock and ETF tokens. Stock token holders will also receive dividend payments directly in the app.

Robinhood's General Manager of Crypto Operations and Senior Vice President, Johann Kerbrat, stated: "Crypto Assets are built by engineers for engineers, and they are not user-friendly for most people. We aim to bring the world into the realm of Crypto Assets by simplifying the usage process as much as possible — the goal is to integrate powerful tools into an intuitive platform."

• Stock tokens will first be issued on Arbitrum.
• In the future, tokenized stocks will be supported by our Robinhood Layer 2 blockchain developed based on Arbitrum.
• The Robinhood blockchain currently under development will optimize for the tokenization of real-world assets, aiming to support 24/7 trading, seamless cross-chain bridging, and self-custody.

perpetual futures

• We will introduce Crypto Assets perpetual futures in the EU, providing a new category of derivatives for eligible clients, allowing for continuous exposure and up to 3x leverage.
• The perpetual futures service will be 100% launched to eligible customers by the end of this summer.
• To help reduce the typical complexity of perpetual futures trading, we have designed intuitive interface controls for setting position size and managing margin.
• The order is routed through a CEX perpetual futures exchange.
• This release marks an important step for us in providing advanced trading tools to active traders globally through an intuitive platform.

US Crypto Assets Staking

• Crypto Assets Staking service has been launched for eligible US customers, initially supporting Ethereum and Solana.
• Through our user-friendly interface, you can now participate in the blockchain ecosystem and earn competitive reward rates by contributing to network operations.
• Crypto Assets staking services are also open to all Robinhood customers in the EU and EEA.

Expanded Product Suite

Not only that - we have also launched a series of new products to make trading Crypto Assets on Robinhood more powerful and convenient:

• Instant Rewards for Crypto Deposits: Limited-time offer, U.S. and EU investors will receive a 1% deposit bonus when transferring Crypto Assets to Robinhood—if total deposits reach the $500 million target, the bonus has the chance to double to 2%.
• Crypto Assets Credit Card Rewards: The Robinhood Gold credit card offers cash back on all spending categories for US clients. Starting this fall, clients can automatically use these rewards to purchase Crypto Assets.
• Cortex Crypto Analysis: Our AI investment assistant feature Cortex will be launched later this year. Robinhood Gold members can view curated insights, trends, and event-driven market analysis on each token detail page. It is designed to help customers quickly understand price changes and market fluctuations in real-time.
• Smart Exchange Routing: Smart Exchange Routing evaluates multiple partner exchanges and selects the best available price path for your orders. Coming soon, all orders placed through Smart Exchange Routing will be eligible for fee tier discounts - that is, based on your trading volume over the past 30 days, the more you trade, the lower the rate. API support will be launched soon.
• Tax Lot Management: U.S. customers can now view and sell specific Crypto Assets trading tax lots, allowing you to strategically choose which lots to sell.
• Advanced Charts: Advanced Charts from Robinhood Legend are coming to mobile, starting with stocks in August and expanding to Crypto Assets.
